Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Muir Faction. Rocky Ledge and I got out on our annual Christmas Hike yesterday the 26th. Bunyan wasn't able to attend as he had to work. The forecast from the local weather terrorists was for blizzard conditions and heavy snow. I'm sure the forecasters in Knoxville are no different but it appeared the end of the world was imminent. Family members were trying to persuade me from going. Ledge picked me up a little after 8:00. The roads weren't too bad and we were getting more sleet than anything. We hiked Clifton Gorge and John Bryan SP. Alas the weather wasn't as bad as forecasted, we still had about 5 inches of snow in our area but the winds were not as bad as predicted. Only about 20 miles north of us there was 8-12 inches of snow. This is kind of typical for our area. We got in 8 good miles of hiking. Enjoy a few pics and a couple of short vids.
