Lawsuit Filed against the NPS by SFW on March 2, 2013

IIt is now official, we are now suing the National Park Service over the backcountry fee.  Our suit was filed today, March 2, 2013 on behalf of the SFW and plaintiffs John Quillen, Rob Cameron and Gregg Bostick.  It is a wonderfully well crafted document meticulously prepared by Myers Morton and is the culmination of hundreds and hundreds of hours work.  As we move into this phase of the fight against this Backcountry Tax please consider making a tax deductible donation.  Our depositions, filing fees and requisite expenses will go into the thousands of dollars.  We need your assistance.  If you are unable to donate financially, please spread the word and have people read the complaint.  We will take payment of good vibes, thoughts and prayers as we move into the next round of our fight.

Enclosed is a copy of the Lawsuit and all requisite supporting documents.  I suggest you read it and appreciate the diligence put forth by Myers and the SFW Board of Directors over the past two years.  It has been a labor of love for many and a growing chorus is heard daily.  Members of this fight are some of the finest citizens the Smokies has ever known.  Join our movement and stand against a lying bureaucracy of unelected executives and their ability to arbitrarily charge a tax without oversight.
